Estudio de Caso: Ética e Investigación Científica Claves para el Desarrollo, según Ley Universitaria 30220

In this research, the role of higher education in the development of Peru has been evaluated, with the purpose of supporting its growth and consolidation towards the future. Four important topics were addressed: the need for international relations of Peruvian universities with their counterparts prominent in international rankings; the prioritization of scientific research for the generation of knowledge; work in the creation and transfer of knowledge to society; and the application of ethics in the life cycle of R&D&I projects. As part of this study, the articles of Law No. 30220, University Law, were identified, which govern the scope of scientific research projects, ranging from the identification of ideas to the conclusion of the projects. These R&D&I projects will generate products to integrate and create growth in the Peruvian economy, in accordance with article 124 of the aforementioned law, which will require the leadership of those responsible for the research and management of the research and development projects. Finally, the results highlight the need to modify the university training of new undergraduate and graduate talents, who would have to lead the creation and transfer of knowledge to society; as well as, making available the products resulting from the management of research and development projects generated in universities.
