The Defense Science and Research Magazine publishes scientific articles related to the research lines of the Center for Higher National Studies- Graduate School: Security, Development and National Defense.

The Defense Science and Research Journal meets the definition of the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) and is affiliated with the open access license. of Creative Commons that allows immediate free access to the work and allows any user to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or link to the full texts of articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other legal purpose.

OBJECTIVE, FOCUS AND SCOPE

The purpose of the Defense Science and Research Magazine is to become a scientific dissemination medium in areas related to politics, national security, national defense, identity, society, nation, geopolitics, geoeconomics, international security and law, energy security, conflicts of the 21st century, natural disasters, climate change, state and politics, competitiveness and development models, migratory phenomena, among other lines of research of the institution.

It is a quarterly publication that is freely disseminated by electronic means and is open to original contributions in Spanish and English from any approach to security, development, national defense and aspects related to education at the postgraduate level, provided that the contributions contribute to expand, understand and better explain the topics investigated.

Revista de Ciencia e Investigación en Defensa is published by the Research Directorate of the Center for Higher National Studies CAEN-EPG, an institution for academic improvement, at the highest level of the educational system of the defense sector in Peru, and is aimed at professionals, researchers, professors and university students on the thematic fields and research lines of the CAEN-EPG. It is a non-profit, open access publication.

SECTION POLICIES

Research articles, review articles and essays are preferably published, with a high level of scientific, technological and humanistic content. Also, the following types of documents may be accepted, as long as they provide new knowledge and conform to the themes and lines of research of the CAEN-EPG: critical or scientific reviews, summary of works and letters to the editor on a published article.

Manuscripts sent for evaluation must be original and current, be fully identified with authorship and indicate the institutional affiliation of the author(s), otherwise they will be rejected.

Research articles will have a maximum of 30 references.

Review articles will have a minimum of 30 references

Other manuscripts will have a maximum of 20 references.

PERIODICITY

The magazine publishes quarterly, and covers the following periods:

July, August, September, October (post: third week of October)
November, December, January, February (post: third week of February)
March, April, May, June (post: third week of June)

GENERAL RULES

Papers published in the Journal of Defense Science and Research include theoretical, review, or empirical papers on the above-mentioned areas.
The submitted papers must not have been previously published in any journal (in any language) nor may they be committed to be published or be in the evaluation process. With the exception of those manuscripts that have been submitted and rejected by a journal, since they no longer have any type of commitment.
Nor may they submit a manuscript that is awaiting the evaluation response from our journal for consideration by other journals.
The main language of our publication is Spanish; however, articles may be published in English. Therefore, the submission languages of the manuscripts are Spanish or English, if it is the original language or another foreign language.
To certify the originality of the authorship of the research, and avoid possible plagiarism, you must download and fill out the Declaration of authorship and publication authorization form, which will be signed by all the authors of the manuscript and sent, along with the original manuscript. In said form, the author or authors must also declare whether or not there is a conflict of interest in the research carried out.
The Defense Science and Research Journal does not assume any responsibility for the theories, approaches, methodologies, opinions and ideologies of the authors of the articles published in the journal.
The magazine is not for profit and is open access to the general public; therefore, you do not charge or pay money to publish.
If the authors do not comply with any of the rules, your manuscript will be automatically rejected.
Before submitting the manuscript, the author must verify that he complies with the submission preparation checklist; otherwise, he must refrain from sending the manuscript.

ANTI-PLAGIARISM SYSTEM

The submitted manuscripts will be reviewed by means of an anti-plagiarism system, to verify the originality of the text. If any plagiarism is detected, the manuscript will be automatically rejected and the author will not be able to subscribe to other articles in the journal.

ARBITRATION SYSTEM

The manuscripts received will be evaluated by specialists in the area, through the double-blind review system, in order to be approved and subsequently published. The final verdict of the evaluation of the manuscripts by the peers will be communicated to the Editorial Committee, with the observations and corrections, if any, approving or rejecting their publication, with an explanation of reasons.

The Editorial Committee will have the final decision to publish or not the article. If the Editorial Committee approves the publication of the manuscript, but previously the author must make corrections in his work, the author will be contacted and, once the indicated changes have been made by the author, he will send the corrected text and, later, he will be notified. the date and number of the journal in which your work will be published.

ACCESS AND REUSE POLICIES: COPYRIGHT

The authors exclusively share the right to publish their article to the Revista de Ciencia e investigación en Defensa, which may formally edit or modify the approved text to comply with its own editorial standards and with universal grammar standards, before its publication; likewise, the journal may translate the approved manuscripts into as many languages as it deems necessary and disseminate them in several countries, always giving public recognition to the author or authors of the research, who maintains –without restrictions– all their rights to market or publish their article.

QUOTES

In both indirect and direct (textual) citations, the last name of the author, or authors, and the year of publication must be indicated, as well as the number of the citation page (in direct citations), according to the criteria established in the latest version of APA standards.
